A murderer has night-time Copenhagen in his– or is it her? – thrall. Each time a strangled victim is found, witnesses describe hearing a strangely high-pitched voice singing a French chanson. Cabaret artist Odette sings precisely this 'Murder Melody' in her act, which is why the police suspect her of being involved in the gruesome ritual murders. But when Odette's ex-husband, hypnotist Valdini, turns up after many years, the case is solved...
